Bethany Lewis

Bethany Lewis is a senior consultant with deep expertise in research and evaluation design and implementation, helping funders and organisations understand how their programmes impact people and places.

She brings extensive experience working with diverse stakeholders and has a focus on the social and place-based impact of culture and heritage, and supporting young people to thrive. Her approach combines methodological rigour and attention to detail with a pragmatic sense of proportion, ensuring projects are delivered effectively and efficiently.

Recent projects include a review of the National Heritage Lottery Fund’s Grantee Evaluation; a process evaluation of the London Legacy Development Corporation’s Good Growth Hub; and an impact and process evaluation of RHS Wisley’s National Lottery Heritage Fund grant, which established a new collection, research and engagement centre and an extensive audience development programme.

Over the past decade, Bethany has also delivered evaluations for some of the UK and Europe’s largest cultural funders. These include the Great Place programme (Arts Council England and the National Lottery Heritage Fund); the Creative Europe programme (European Commission); and evaluations for Creative Scotland of their Youth Arts programme, Youth Music Initiative and Edinburgh Festivals PlaCE programme.

She holds an MA in Cultural Policy and Management from the University of Warwick and a BA in European Studies from the University of Maastricht. She is fluent in German.
