Poppy Lawrence Carr

Poppy Lawrence Carr works across our portfolio of strategy and planning projects with a focus on cultural venues and destinations.

She brings extensive experience managing large project teams and consortiums having managed some of BOP’s most complex engagements.

Poppy currently works with governments and cultural institutions, providing project management, research support, and in-depth analyses. Her areas of focus include strategy and organisational development, benchmarking and market analysis, and sector mapping studies.

Her recent work includes managing a consortium of partners to deliver an arts and culture strategy for a new arts and culture resort for Red Sea Global, in-depth research and analysis to support the development and implementation of a new strategy for international cultural exchange for a national government in MENA, and contributions towards the development of a Strategic Case for Culture for the Royal Commission of AlUla in Saudi Arabia.

Poppy’s recent work in the UK includes overseeing an evaluation of the Imperial War Museum’s 14-18 Now Legacy Fund programme, developing a comprehensive survey to capture the economic and social impact of Bristol’s cultural sector on behalf of Bristol City Council, and a study to assess the BBC’s projected economic contribution to the West Midlands.

Poppy holds a BA in Geography and a postgraduate degree in Cultural Geography at Royal Holloway, University of London.
