Emily Taplin

Emily Taplin is a mixed methods researcher with a background in social impact.

At BOP Emily currently supports our place-based projects, working across research, evaluation and strategy and planning.

Emily has a grounded approach to research, and since joining BOP has gained extensive experience managing complex engagements. Recent work includes benchmarking of global arts and heritage destinations for a major arts and culture development in MENA, research support into site and concept feasibility for two UK cultural venues, and qualitative and quantitative research for evaluations of Green Man Festival and Edinburgh PlaCE.

Before joining BOP, Emily has worked across the private and not for profit sectors across a variety of roles where she supported the delivery of growth strategies and campaigns.

She holds an MSc in Mental Health, Ethics and Law from King's College London, where she was awarded The Dickson Poon School of Law and The Tempany Prize for Ethics. She also holds a BA in Languages and Literature (French and Italian) from the University of Oxford.
